"RM for Riddermark," an all-color hardcover book about the work of Julie Froelich, is underway!
Julie will share her thoughts and reminiscences--this is shaping up to be a fascinating look at the hobby's early days!--as well as scads of photos of her creations in this beautiful volume, planned for publication in 2011! And to make this as complete a record as possible, everyone is invited to submit photos and comments on the Froelich horses in their own collections or that they used to own!
We plan to use one image per horse. A halter photo or liberty photo would be best, to show off one side of the horse. You're welcome to also submit one or two more photos of the same horse, though, if you like (for example, the other side of the horse or a headstudy or a striking performance photo)--we don't know if it'll be possible to use them, but would like to keep options open as we put the book together.
If you have any snapshots of Froelich models at live shows, those might also be helpful for a different section of the book.
We'll need to have digital images of at least 150dpi, ideally 300dpi. If you don't have a digital image, we're happy to scan your paper 35mm photo here to create a 300dpi digital image to use in the book. If you'd like to send your 35mm photos to us, we're willing to share their postage cost: you mail them here (we're in Japan), and we'll mail them back to you by trackable airmail. If you'd like to do that, please e-mail us to make arrangements.

Information that we need from you for each horse's photo you submit:
Please submit one e-mail per horse, with its image(s) attached, by e-mail to us at rm.for.riddermark@gmail.com.
Please note that by submitting, you're granting us permission to use the submitted image(s) and information in the book "RM for Riddermark." In return, you'll be listed by name in the book as a contributor, and will be able to buy as many copies as you want of "RM for Riddermark" at cost...and you'll have made a treasure of a book all the better!
(Note: If your horse is unsigned but said to be by Julie Froelich, you're welcome to submit its photo; Julie will look at images of unsigned horses and verify whether or not they're her work.)
Thanks so much for your interest, and we hope to hear from you soon!

(P.S. The horse shown above is RM Nataku, CM in 1989 by Julie Froelich and owned by Corky Visminas. Not for sale, sorry!)
